Your photo doesn’t need to be perfect.
For the best result, try to choose one with:

- Little or no motion blur
- A recognizable expression
- A moment that really feels like your pet

Put the essentials in writing. A clear brief protects both you and the artist and reduces subjective revisions later.
Your Order Brief Should Include
- Your cat’s name, personality and the features that matter most
- One main reference photo plus a few labeled supporting photos
- Preferred crop, background color, orientation and final size
- Any collar, tag, toy or distracting object to include or remove
- Exact deadline, delivery address and whether the portrait is a surprise
- Agreed price, deposit, unlimited design revisions before approval and final deliverables
