01 — Where It All Began
What started as a random travel encounter slowly turned into a shared lifelong passion.
Luminipet was founded in 2023 by two pet-loving artist girls — Stella based in Hong Kong and Lila based in New York.
Both grew up with a deep soft spot for animals. They are artists, and lifelong animal rescuers. Each adopted one rescue cat and one rescue dog.
They crossed paths purely by chance during solo travel. What began as a casual conversation quickly grew into an instant bond: the same love for art, the same tenderness toward homeless animals, and the shared belief that pets are cherished family members.
Separated by oceans and opposite time zones, distance never slowed their connection. Late-night sketch reviews, early morning talks about rescue stories, endless creative brainstorming — their friendship only deepened.
That is how Luminipet came to life.
02 — A Studio Built on Love
Since 2023, more like-minded artists from diverse cultural backgrounds have joined the studio.
Our little community also warmly welcomes stray fur babies, who now live peacefully within our space. All of them share the same quiet wish: to support rescue animals around the world.
The name Luminipet comes from lumin, meaning light. It stands for lighting the way for fur babies, helping them find homes.
For us, Luminipet is more than a studio. It is a small community brought together by art, animals, and a shared belief that every pet deserves to be loved.
03 — More Than a Portrait
Our cross-border studio creates custom handcrafted pet portraits. Every artist here is a fellow animal lover.
They understand pets deeply — their subtle expressions, quiet moods and unique spirits. Each brushstroke captures not just appearance, but the soul of your fur baby, preserving the quiet bond you share.
We gently document the entire hand-painting journey for every piece. Along with your finished portrait, you will receive this soft visual memory — a quiet record of how your pet’s portrait slowly came to life, from the very first stroke to the final finish.
It is our tender way of gifting you the full warm journey behind your artwork.
04 — Art for Love. Light for Fur Babies.
A portion of every order goes directly to animal rescue programs.
For Stella, Lila and the whole team, it is simply a gentle way to honor beloved pets through art, and bring a little more light to animals still waiting for their forever homes.
